23. Coming Up Roses

Once she was back in her room and away from the tension downstairs, Audrey closed the door shut and threw herself on the bed. She buried her face into the pillow, squeaking breathlessly, hoping it would swallow her whole. 

Oh God, I don’t think I could keep this up any longer!

At first, she thought that not discussing the situation between her and the brothers was a wise thing to do. It would save her the awkward conversation of ‘what are we?’, ‘where is this going?’ and ‘what does this mean?’ 

But now, all the uncertainties were biting her in the ass. She didn’t know how to act in front of both brothers. It was uncomfortable and confusing. She was sweating like a whore in church and her heart was beating so fast, it felt like she was getting a stroke.
