~ Caspian ~
“You’re seriously doing this?” Caspian glared at his brother.
“You see any other better idea?” Killian replied challengingly.
“Yeah, we get rid of it,” Caspian said matter-of-factly. “Problem solved,”
Killian shook his head and sighed. Audrey was fast asleep for the night and the brothers were having a discussion out on the balcony. They made sure that the doors were closed so Audrey wouldn’t hear any of this. Killian just broke the news that he plans on marrying Audrey if the baby was his. Caspian thought it was a stupid plan. He believed a baby shouldn’t even be an option for them at this point.
“Maybe you’ve done this to other girls before, but this is Audrey we’re talking about,” Killian hissed and he glanced back at the door.
~ Anthony ~“What do you mean you fúcking lost her?!” Anthony roared and the two large men standing before him cowered in fear.“She’s supposed to be inside that house. But she just disappeared…” one of them said.“Did you hear yourself?” he scoffed. “Does that even make sense do you?”The two of them didn’t answer. They both looked down and swallowed hard. They knew they messed up big time when they started following a car with her in it, but the car was only driving up and down the city for the next three hours. And by the time they realized this, Audrey was already long gone.“Find her,” Anthony ordered. The two men looked back up instinctively.“And don’t come back until you do,” he said again.“Yes,
~ Audrey ~“She belongs to me! You hear me?” Anthony’s voice was heard again.“No, she ain’t!” Caspian couldn’t help himself and shouted back.“So she’s really here,” Anthony laughed sinisterly.Killian shot Caspian a glare. Caspian ignored him, he just lifted the gun’s mouth to the door.“Listen, if you give her back, I promise none of you will get hurt, but if you don’t…” Anthony paused for a second and chuckled, “Well, you don’t wanna know,”Inside the house, everyone fell silent and tense. Killian was thinking of an exit strategy and Caspian was ready to fight. Meanwhile, Audrey and her friends were shaking in their boots. Audrey felt a deep pit building in her stomach. This couldn’t be good.
~ Audrey ~Dark. There was nothing but darkness for miles. Audrey couldn’t see anything in front of her. The last thing she remembered seeing was the helicopter's light. They shone brightly on the wreckage that was her life. But after she saw the flood of blood all over her body, Audrey’s mind shut off. It couldn’t handle it. The sight before her eyes was far too gruesome. She didn’t know how long she was out for. Sometimes she’d see flashes of light. She could also see the faces of people leaning in front of her. There were people that she didn’t know. Maybe they were the FBI.
~ Killian ~Killian clung to Audrey’s body like it was his only lifeline. His voice was coarse from crying and his eyes were swollen and blue. But for the first time in days, Killian could finally breathe again. He had been holding onto this pain alone for so long. No one could’ve helped him. No one could’ve possibly understood. Losing Caspian was like losing half of himself. No one would know the severity of his pain, except for maybe her.Audrey was also crying her heart out. She just learned about it this morning from her friends. Killian came by in the afternoon to check up on her. She wasn’t talking to anyone except for him.Killian learned about Caspian two days ago. He had the same reaction as her the first time he heard it. He kept saying it was impossible. It must be a mistake. Caspian was the strongest guy he knew. He couldn't just die.“
- - - - - One Week Later - - - - -~ Killian ~“I’m sorry for your loss,”“He will be greatly missed,”“My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,”These were the words that Killian kept hearing repeatedly for the entire day. For the past week even, these were the only words that people could say to him. The Vanderbilt home and Killian’s old apartment were flooded with gifts, letters, and calls from people all over the country. And since today was Caspian’s funeral, these words could never escape Killian’s ears.Killian was tired of hearing the same stupid things, but he only smiled and nodded his head. Even though he hated being here in this church, shaking all these people’s hands, Killian wore his best suit and tie and s
~ Audrey ~“Audrey, I meant what I said before. I love you. I wanna marry you and I wanna have a family with you,” Killian tilted her face up to him again. He stared at her with tender and pleading eyes. “Losing Caspian is like losing half my soul. I don’t wanna lose my other half ever again,”Audrey stared at him with a bewildered look. Where was he going with this?Audrey couldn’t read the expression on his face. Killian closed the distance between their bodies and leaned for her lips. Their noses were touching and their lips were only an inch away. And just before they touched, Killian stopped and said, “Audrey Nicole Huntington, will you marry me?”Audrey’s breath was caught in her throat. Her mouth fell open and her eyes were wide as saucers. She stared at him for a good minute and studied his face. Killian was absol
~ Killian ~Killian was in the middle of having dinner with his mom and dad at the Vanderbilt mansion. It was a week after Caspian’s funeral and Anna wanted a family dinner. For days now, Anna and John tried to get Killian to talk about the accident. Killian never told his parents the full story of what happened. All his parents knew was that they were in an unfortunate car accident.Luckily for Killian, the FBI was also very discreet. They wanted to further investigate the Russian’s dealings on U.S. soil, so the details of this case were never fully disclosed to the media.Needless to say, it was a difficult time for everyone. They were forced to rethink the way they lived their lives. Killian became a lot more emotional. He was no longer cold and calculative. He knew how short life could be, so he stopped repressing his emotions and he’d say exactly what he feels.&nbs
~ Audrey ~- - - - - Three Days Later - - - - -“Don’t be nervous, everything’s gonna be alright,” Audrey said as Killian stopped his tracks. They were standing in front of Maxwell Huntington’s home, and Audrey noticed how Killian’s body tensed the closer they got to the door.Audrey had invited Killian over for dinner tonight so they could tell her dad about the good news. Killian agreed because he thought it was a good idea. But what he failed to realize was how nerve-wracking this was. Killian got to the door and he froze.“How are you so calm? You said the last time you did this, your dad got a heart attack,” Killian laughed nervously. “I don’t wanna be responsible for that,”“That’s a
