Robert looked at Rose who was asleep on the bed. It was the same room he had shared with Ruby, where they had made love for the first time. The man froze for a moment as if he saw a flash of the past.
The maid at her house managed to help after a little forcing Rose to clean up and give her a cup of hot tea, before she finally fell asleep. The tiredness she felt made her fall asleep, so she didn't feel the IV needle inserted by Robert.
