Chapter 53

Her whole body ached when she yelped. Somewhere on her body was a sharp pain. She twisted her body uncomfortably, and suddenly someone grabbed her hand.

“You have a fever. Go back to sleep. I’ll put some ointment on your body. It’ll stop hurting when you wake up,” Gerald said softly.

North was feeling groggy. After hearing those words, she closed her eyes subconsciously.

The man let out a chuckle. His eyes trailed along her waist and slowly lowered.

Then he lifted her up and put her in the backseat of the car. “Drive,” he instructed calmly.

Connor wound up the partitions in the car in respect, and he asked, “How do you plan to take care of the Myers family, Mr. Gerald?”

“Linda seems to have a niece in the Lane family?” Gerald asked lazily.

Connor nodded. “Linda’s older brother does have a daughter.”

“Find a way to get her to go to the Myers family and cause some trouble for Linda.”
