Chapter 49 - His First Love

Keisha stroked his back slowly as she felt his tears fall on her shoulder. She listened to his muffled breathing, and he suddenly broke down after saying something odd. (Perhaps it was because of their fight?) she thought to herself.

After all, this was the first time the brother fought one another after James returned here. "I know it must be tough what you two went through," she uttered like a mother while calming him down with the strokes of her fingers on his back.

She sighed heavily. "But you only have each other now. You shouldn't make an enemy out of your brother," she murmured.

"You don't know how family rivalry happens," Eros retorted before lifting his head from her shoulders and wiping the tears away from his face. "But that's not what I was crying about," he explained with a chuckle.

Her brows furrowed and she tilted her head. "Why were you crying then?" she asked as she grabbed the clean cloth and dabbed it on his face to clean his wounds.
