“Are you alright?” he lifted his cold eyes, turning towards her. She thought he was going to scold her when he opened his mouth, but what came out left her just staring at him with adoration and curiosity. She just nodded at him, lowering her head.

“Use your mouth.” He said something that differed from what she saw.

“Yeah, I am perfectly ok.” she fiddled with her fingers, forcing her eyes to stay on the floor instead of him.

“Before dying, did he know you were sent by me?” He tapped the cigarette stick over an ashtray. She jerked her head at him as she heard his question, which was going to invite trouble for her. He already knew the answer as his corner of the lip lifted a bit, but he leaned back over his chair and crossed his legs, abandoning the file in his hand.

“Yes, he knew.” She gave the answer he was looking for, hearing the answer he didn’t get angry with or mad at her and the slight lingering smirk over his lip was a sign of danger
