Chapter 1729

Sherry bent over to carry Caprice into her arms.

Caprice was more perceptive than she would appear and immediately noticed Sherry’s swollen cheeks as soon as she bent over. She raised an eyebrow and promptly pointed it out. "Mommy, why is your face swollen?"

Sherry quickly came up with a story. "Mommy accidentally tripped while rushing back home.”

Caprice seemed worried. “Did it hurt?”

Sherry felt a warm fuzzy feeling rising in her chest and assured Caprice with a genuine smile. "It only hurt a little when I fell, but it doesn't hurt anymore.”

Caprice gently grazed it with her fingers.

Sherry caressed Caprice as well and carried her into her arms.

Aunt Wanda had already prepared dinner for them.
