I shook my head, indicating the glass still full near my hands. Samantha walked away to the other end of the counter, serving an elderly couple with a hot kettle. All those colors around him crumbled before me, displaying the marks they tried to camouflage. It was a real internal struggle not to ask me more about the life of that young girl, and even more why she seemed so uncertain about her own future.
