Julia found a place on her owner's lap when he returned, and I found myself in front of a couple with an enviable familiarity. It bothered me more than any torture scene. I'm tired of waiting. I stood up and turned away, going through half the aisle until I found Zachary returning alone.

His look was still a little dark, but his smile relieved the knot in my stomach. He had asked me to stay in that place, after all. I didn't know if it fit into disobedience, and I was afraid to ask. Especially after seeing him drag a man with a single arm, revealing nothing on his face hardened by anger.

"Come on," he asked, stretching one hand.

When I held your fingers, I thought it would take me down, contributing to my desire to return home. But he walked to the door of the room where he gave me a shower and threw us inside with soft steps. His arms surrounded my body comfortably in a hug. I didn't realize I needed one before he did it.
