Dennis sat inside the car with his eyes fixed on his phone. He glanced at his wristwatch realizing that twenty minutes had passed and Cassandra is yet to be seen.
He sat still not knowing what to do as he wonders if she is really busy and the thought of him going in to meet her might spark her anger and right now, Dennis doesn't want any of that.
He inhaled deeply, looked up at the car ceiling and down to his phone. He doesn't know why he feels so tense and the picture of Cassandra keeps playing in his mind. He feels like he has been hypnotized by her or maybe because of the nature of his job, he has to consider himself to be close to her at any minute.
Not knowing what else to do, Dennis waited patiently for Cassandra, he glanced at the entrance of the sop
Cassandra slowly woke up, her eyes fixed to the ceiling as the whole room was silent to her dismay. She scanned around and wondered how she got in here, all she can remember is her throwing up at the party restroom so everything around her is so strange.Quickly, she sat up and noticed that the blanket was lauded over her. Still confused, she looked down and realized that she was still putting on her dress from last night but her shoes were off her feet."Who laid me here?" She asked herself with flickering eyes which scanned the room nonstop. She quickly ransacked the bed but couldn't find her phone. Worried, she got up from the bed, searched the nearby drawers but still, there was no sign of her phone. Quickly, her eyes glanced at the purse she took to the party, Cassandra quickly walked towards it, opened it and saw he
"Why the sudden change of plan Ma'am?" Dennis asked the next morning as they both headed towards the airport."It is none of your business Dennis, do not ask me irrelevant questions" she shunned him at once, her eyes fixed on the open window of the Limo. They both got into the airport and soon, their flight kicked off at once. After an hour, they were back in the city of California, both of them heading towards her company. As soon as they got in, her workers were shocked to see her this early, they all walked to their work post but Cassandra saw them all."Camila, Ben and Jerry, see me at my office right now!" She shouted at three of her workers
Cassandra's eyes flickered around as she tried to hide the disbelief in her eyes."Alright, you can leave now" she said to Jasmine who stayed back."Ma'am, the ladies outside are here for you to interview them," Jasmine reminded her.Cassandra looked unsure, "Are there some ladies outside?" She inquired.Jasmine nodded wondering what her boss meant by such a question and if she wondered if Cassandra didn't really see those ladies waiting outside her office.Confused, Cassandra sighed, she was totally drawn to Dennis' issue that she didn't notice them. She hopes that she can find a PA as good as Dennis, see has to because with the look of thi
"Fuck!" Cassandra cursed out loud as soon as she got into her bedroom, she threw her bag on her bed and walked towards the open window, her eyes fixed on the busy road before her.She still couldn't believe that Dennis rejected her invitation, this is something that has never happened to her knowing how it took her so much consideration in her heart to stoop so low just to do something this ridiculous. She began to pace around her room as she tried to stop the tears that wanted to fall out of her eyes. No way will any man make her cry again, not now, not ever. That night she found it hard to sleep and soon, morning came. Feeling tired, she freshened up, brushed her hair and walked out of her house ready for her chauffeur to drive her to work.
Dennis let out a deep sigh, he dug his hands into his jacket pocket, glanced at Cassandra and smiled. "One of my reasons for moving away from New York is because it holds so many old memories that I don't want to remember. Growing up was never easy for me because I didn't grow up with that parental care, they were too busy with work to consider how i felt" he paused with pain in his eyes."I can never forget the days I felt like I didn't exist at all. There were times they left the house for months, leaving me under the care of nannies who were so selfish and treated me like they were not being paid to take good care of me. My childhood was just fucked up but I am glad that I am here, free from the pain, from the tears and everything that wanted to do nothing else but tear me apart, I am just excited because it feels like I have started a new chapter by moving far away from there" he said, hi
A ray of sunlight shone on her face, with a slight yawn, Cassandra rubbed her eyes which opened. The events of last night crawled into her and to her surprise, she found herself smiling. She turned to her side but Dennis was no way to be found."It's good that you are awake now" A voice said as the room door opened. Walking into the room was Dennis who held a tray filled with food. Cassandra looked at him in shock, she knew that there was no food present in her home and for him to bring such to her, he cooked it himself.Dennis saw the astonishment on her face, he laughed, and placed the food on a table next to her bed. "You don't have to look at me in such a way Miss Johnson" he stated and dipped both hands into his pocket.Cassandra glanced at the cup of
"I am sorry about the way my mum stared at you" Cassandra said as they both walked towards her car, work was over so it was time for them to head home.Dennis chuckled, "You don't have to apologize about that Cassandra. I can see that your mum is a very energetic woman".Cassandra smiled, she stopped, looked at Dennis and they both said nothing and stared at each other for what seemed like forever."Come have dinner with me tonight" Cassandra said to her surprise but she knows how serious she wants to spend more time with Dennis outside the office. "You treated me nice last night so just take this as a pay back" she smiled warmly at him. With a smile, Dennis didn't say a word but stared at her, his
Things went on smoothly in the company from that day on, with the help of Dennis,a lot of the company problems got solved and it's finances grew rapidly. Cassandra was so happy and she knew that Dennis is her lucky charm, a PA who is ready to work at any given time and someone who cares for her a lot.Cassandra's rudeness to her workers lessened a bit but she didn't fail to lash herharshness just to stop them from thinking that they can misbehave. Her friendship with Dennis also grew and the two of them met sometimes after work, they both hangout and talk more like old time friends.Dennis sat in his office, his eyes fixed on his laptop as he swiftly worked on a company report that will be needed the next day for a meeting.
