43. Invitation

Violet POV

Very quiet breakfast. Even after I finished my meal the dining table was only occupied by me, Ema and some of Xander's friends whom I didn't know them.

This morning Alpha didn't come to me. He must have been busy taking care of Lily who had fallen ill.

"what's on your mind. Your food is getting cold" Ema had finished her food and was now clearing the empty plate.

I purposely told her to accompany me for breakfast this morning

"ah I'm not think of anything" I pushed the sweet dessert I couldn't finish

"Of course you're daydreaming. I'm afraid there will be a fly in your open mouth"

I clenched my jaw. It turns out that it's true that I was gaping

"Ema are you busy today?"

She turned her head and furrowed her brows "not really. Why?"

"Where are you going this time?"

"to the kitchen"

"May I come with you? I want to help a little. I can cook too"

"Don't be silly Violet, Alpha will punish us all if s

he even sees you visiting the kitchen area" She brought many empty plates at onc
