Care for Gabe

As expected, he was back to work as if she had not just come some minutes ago to interrupt him and announce that food was ready. She shook her head, using her body to push the door close. The tray in her hand contained the food she had dished out for him for dinner.

Slowly, she walked towards him, and when she saw that he was still bent over his desk, not looking at her, she shouted. “Get your hands off those papers, Gabriel, and come eat dinner.” She set the plate on the small table that was in front of the couch in his office.

He looked up at her with a chuckle, before dropping his pen again and walking to her. “Well, let's see what dinner is.” He said. He didn’t care what dinner was, he just wanted to have her stay longer, and he would do everything he could think of to achieve that.

Alex heaved a short sigh, being slow to give a response. She took off the napkin she covered the tray with and said. “Dinner is beef steak, rice with shrimp, and vegetable sauce. I brought cold iced
