“You’re Leon’s mistress? When?” I asked Lola angrily, and she quickly backed away.

“Miss Emily, please forgive me,” Lola bowed her head and didn’t dare to look at me. Her voice trembled as she said, “It was many years ago. When Prince Leon gave me to Colonel Bohr, our relationship ended.”
