Chapter 24: The New Pack Member
"Hold that thought." I say before getting up to answer the door.
When I open it, Janessa is standing in front of me with two of the pups, Rydell and Julian. "These two want to ask you something." She smiles and right away looks concerned when she realizes she must have woke up Alpha Eric.
I crouch down and ask, "What's on your minds?"
The tallest one Julian who surely must be 10 or so, says, "We want to make sure the Alpha is O.K., we had heard that he was hurt really bad and almost died."
Smiling, I wave them in and tell Janessa, "It's O.k., he just woke up so they didn't disturb him."
Both of them climb up on the bed and surround Eric asking, "Does it still hurt?" and "Can we see it?"
