CHAPTER 31

AIDEN

I slept like a baby last night to a point that I even woke up at noon. I even dreamt of my parents, for the first time since they were killed. But in the dream I was still ten years old, and they looked happy. I was glad because to me, it meant they could finally rest in peace and that they were happy and proud of what I had done.

I felt at peace when I woke up, like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It felt good, I have never felt like that in my adult life. But there was still work to be done. I showered and just as I sat down for breakfast, I was told the old man from the crescent moon pack was at the gate.

I told the warriors to let him in and I walked out to receive him. His car stopped on the driveway in front of the packhouse. The old man did not wait for his warriors to open the door for him. He got out and when he saw me. a big smile broke from his lips.

He came and gave me a hug patting me on the back like a proud father would do to his son. I must admit,
