33 Water of Truth

It's Bernice!

I quickly looked in the direction of the sound, and Alen nodded at me. I knew I had found the place.

Vivian whispered to me, "Sister, there is a great smell of blood!"

I silently clutched my sleeve and watched Alen bake a seal on a candle, then place it on the black wall. A golden light flashed and the wall made a loud noise.

"Wow," Vivian had never seen.

With a bang, the wall cracked on both sides. The dust filled the air and Vivian and I were pushed back by Alen.

After the dust, I saw a woman through the wooden railing. Her hands and feet were chained to the wall, and a chain around her neck made it almost impossible to see if she was breathing.

Her hair fell down over her face. Her clothes were indistinguishable, and her exposed limbs bore dark red marks. There was a black stain on her feet, left by some unknown object. In the basement cell, which had little light, everything about her seemed ominous.

I can't believe this is Bernice who always shines, but my ears don'
