"I was bleeding on my calf, and my blood was dripping on your baby teeth that were tied to my ankle. That's why your parents recognized me. If it wasn't for Lancaster, I would have already arrived at my destination."

I whispered in his ear, straightened my skirt, and showed him my calves. Kral held me in silence and sat quietly, pressing a kiss on my forehead with his mouth.

As we spoke, the boat slowly reached the shore.

The pale mist opened and we saw a mass of silvery-white flowers. They lay on the shore. There was also an indescribable scent of flowers in the air, like the spice of a mother's body, mixed with ease and comfort.
