I peeked through the hall to see the large expanse as I felt my legs freeze. I found it hard to move as I stared blankly.

“Ma’am, you need to go in now; we are already late.”

I ignored her comments and heaved a long sigh like it was going to help the situation I was in.

The whole hall buzzed with so many guests in attendance because a socialite was getting married. The guests seemed more optimistic than the bride herself, me.
