Olivia’s POV

*Back to the present *

I watched in shock as Lucien stormed into the garden. Lucas and I repelled away from each other like we were like similar poles of a magnet. His face that was usually so warm and caring, was now twisted with anger and betrayal.

He walked right past me without saying a single word, his eyes were fixed on Lucas, who was still standing near me. It was a tense silence that hung in the air. I had no idea what to do, or what to say.

Without giving any form of warning, Lucien lashed out, landing a brutal blow on Lucas's face. The sound of the impact echoed through the garden, and I gasped in horror. My hands flew to my mouth, covering the hollow form that it had just made. I was shocked and scared at the same time. I had no idea what to do, whether to stop them, or to leave them be.
