Under Attack

OLIVIA'S POV

" Can you just stay quiet for a second? What if they catch us eavesdropping?" I yelled over to Lucas egose breath was becoming too loud.

He told me about how he was headed to his room but suddenly heard about an attack and stuff like that. He also added that the kingdom hadn't been under an attack for years so the king was panicking.

It's possible that my mother knew about this but was just merely using the birthday party as a cover-up for alpha Marcus to come over here without any suspicion from any of us but why would she do it like this?

Perhaps they don't want anybody to know about the battle? I had lots of thoughts about this in my mind, I didn't even know what to think but it seemed like my greatest fear was about to come through.

I stared down at Lucas who was supposed to be watching us in case anyone was eavesdropping but he couldn't even stand there and watch guard for five minutes without coming over here.

" You better go, What if that catches us?" I whispered.
