Marcus’s POV

“Do you think this is going to work?” I asked Lisa, staring directly into her eyes.

I found so much comfort in her eyes which seemed to beam each time I searched into them.

“Of course, it’s going to work, it sounds quite impossible but I know you want nothing but the best for your people. You’re a good king.” She said gently rubbing my cheeks which made me relaxed.

“I want to tell you something, something you might not know, which is the real reason why I am very persistent concerning rogues,” I said walking over to our garden and she followed right behind me.

“Sit down,” I ordered calmly as she sat down beside me.

“Is there any problem?” She inquired wondering why I was so bothered.

If only she knew the type of problems the rogues brought into my life.

“What I’m about to tell you now is something I’ve never shared with anyone except the ones who witnessed it but you’re expected to know,” I said calmly and stared into her face to see her expression before I continued talk
