MIYAs POV...
I swallow the fear that coaxes the back of my throat and I tug on my arm with my eyes trained on the possessive Kindred who refuses to let me go. Gulping on the air that tastes hellish bitter, I peer down at his hand and the heat of his fingers sear into my flesh along with the intensity of his glare.
"Let me go!" I cry out, pleading while I continue to struggle in his grasp that restrains me.
He snorts, "No." Replying with one word.
But it's a word that holds so many brutal possibilities and none of them sounds reassuring in my head. I look around the eatery hall, my gaze finds Nova as she continues to stand in the queue.
"Nova!" I scream with a tremble in my voice.
As she whips around to face me, I breathe a sigh of relief. All it takes is for her to notice another Kindred touching me and instantly, she loses her cool, charming and graceful demeanour.

MIYAs POV... The annoying sound of someone banging metal poles together rouses me from my gas-induced slumber. The surface beneath me is cold, hard and rough.
