Don't Lay A Finger On Him

***Gael's POV***

I waited patiently for Turstin to get back so we could leave. It was almost getting toward the evening and I wanted us to be back home before my mom would notice we were not home, especially when I didn't bring my phone with me.

I'm sure she must be trying to make lunch and might be waiting for our appearance. It didn't take long before Turstin showed up.

“I'm so sorry, I'm not supposed to take this long with my call.”

“Was it from the office?”

I asked curiously. He pressed his lips together and nodded his head.

“Do you think it's something you need to go back to take care of?”

“It doesn't necessarily need to be taken care of…"

“There's no need to explain. I think you should attend whatever it is, I know it's important. You can always drop by, you know.”

Turstin stared at me for a while. I could tell that he didn't want to leave me behind, but then I couldn't stop him from going to where he's supposed to be.
