This Is It?

“Did you say wedding day?”

“Yes, baby, you heard that right; you have two hours to back out.”

I have nothing for her but joy and excitement; this is the day that her life and my life change, “In less than two hours, you and I will be married?”

I lean back at the kitchen counter, gazing at her entirely shocked face; just my luck, my future wife is a timid human being.
