I'm not trying to be a hero but watching the hostage crying for help on the monitor's screen. Mark and his task force FBI group set up another camera to freely monitor what was happening inside the hostage area.

I'm now wearing a bulletproof vest. My executive assistant Landon sits next to me.

"Officer, have you set the phone over?"

Mark is talking to his subordinates through his walking Radiophone. He seems flustered, yet he had his way to hide it. Being a task force leader makes him hide the worry a little more acceptable than the rest of his teammates.

"Yes, captain, now the waiting game is on."

True enough, since we can't force the criminals to give us a ring, this negotiation will happen according to their book. Their rules, we follow.
