Fifty Two

The drive back to the pack house was a tension filled one. My sisters had awoken. They were sitting in the back, a grim expression on their faces. Neither of them had said a word yet. I was upset. But, what I was feeling was more of desperation and sorrow. Aries was restless. I couldn't stop worrying about Rylee either. They had taken her away from me and I was helpless. I had let them take her away.

Ava and Emma got out of the car as soon as I parked the car. It was almost like they didn't want to be anywhere around me. It didn't matter. All that mattered was that I was a fool. Perhaps, if I had played Syke's stupid game, Rylee would have come home with me. Still, I didn't think it would have been that easy.

"What's wrong? Where is Rylee?"
