Chapter Eighteen

Akira's Point Of View

"You know you can just go to her if you miss her that much," Mum's voice snapped me out of my trance.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked her and she came in fully.

"Long enough to know that you've been pacing for about three minutes now. It's refreshing to see your worried face once in a while,"

I sighed deeply and she took a sit on one of the chairs. "You've had her locked in there for two days,"

"She deserves it. I clearly told her not to endanger herself,"

"She's not a pet, Akira. She's her own person,"

"Well, a person should know when to listen to instructions that are ensuring her safety," I argued.

"You should understand her."

"She doesn't understand me."

She shook her head. "You're both too stubborn to listen to each other." I got up and walked to the door. "Understanding a woman doesn't require force or strictness, son. You should go see her. I'm sure she misses you too," she said before leaving.

Miss me?
