Chapter Twenty-seven

Alexa's Point Of View

"I could eat more of this,"

I watched as he shoved more bread into his mouth. His stuffed cheeks made him look like a chipmunk. Cute. He gulped down his cup of tea and let out a satisfactory sigh.

"That was so good," he said and I grinned proudly. I should make him dinner more often. He seems to like eating.

"Of course, I made it." He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Thanks,"

"You're welcome," I said bashfully. He packed the used plates to the sink and began to wash them.

"You should have let me wash them," I said and he shook his head.

"You prepared the food. It's only right that I wash the dishes." He said and I smiled. He's such a husband material. Wait up, what am I saying?

I looked at him and found him smiling sheepishly to himself. What could be so funny?

"What's funny?" I asked and he turned to me. He shrugged. "I'm just happy,"

"Why so happy?"

"Because I have you? Are you not enough reason to be happy?" He asked and I pursed
