ALEXIS' POV

I feel more than happy, although in discreet, when I find out that Freeda had lost her phone last night.

That would mean just one thing...

Freeda's long annoying phone calls with her boyfriends would come to a halt. For now.

Freeda kept sulking for the rest of the day and a few times, I would stop over by her counter to tell her everything would be okay while deep inside, I did a dance of joy. Even though I feel a little guilty for being so hypocritical, at least I don't have to overwork myself, covering up for her anymore.

"Hey, Alex." Freeda walks up to my own counter, dragging her feet lazily behind her.

"What's up?" I raise my eyes to look at her as she pushes a small list of order in front of me. "Two shots of americano, a shot of espresso. Three vegetable sandwiches and a strawberry pie. Medium sized."

"Right." I answer and she sulks away again, her shoulders slumped and sad. I ignore her dramatics and set to prepare the orders. When I get finished, I arrange them
