Silence lingered between us but it didn't seem so overwhelming.

“I didn't get to thank you for the other time” She lowered her gaze and for a moment, I was convinced that she was hesitant to meet mine.

“Thank you. I was irrational and everywhere was suffocating me and I needed to get the hell away from this place” she said and I listened.
