Kyra stared at the old woman in front of her with a blank expression.

"So, what are you trying to say? I don't understand..." Kyra scrunched her brows.

The woman gave a short laugh,

"Hahaha,"

"You don't have to understand, child..." The old woman held on to her staff.

"Then why are you here? Who are you?" Kyra was perplexed.

"You don't need to-"

"Then leave... With all due respect, I can't be talking to someone I don't know." Kyra interrupted exasperatedly.

"Easy child... Lest you say something greater than you." The old woman shook her head slowly...

"Then, I'm sorry. I can't continue listening to you." Kyra said and made to go inside.

"The wolves are gonna die.... They are...." The old woman's voice sounded behind her.

Kyra whirled around,

"What did you say?" She was confused. What did the woman mean by her words?

"Do I finally have your attention?" The woman chuckled.

Kyra didn't respond. She continued looking at the woman with a blank expression plastered on her face.
