Mūrkharuberry - Part ll

A moment passed that felt like an eternity, but I didn’t feel the beast near me. My wolf snarled and growled trying to tear through my barrier. But I was way too weak and afraid to shift. I heard the beast snorting. But I never heard any beast snort like that. I lifted my hands and peeked over the shield of my hands.

“A horse!” I exclaimed in surprise as the black horse tilted his head. Wait! I recognise this horse!

I stood up slowly and the horse stared at me with curious eyes. “What are you doing here?” I asked in a shaky voice as the horse snorted again, blowing air through his nostrils. My wolf sat down on her hind legs and tilted her head staring at the horse with curiosity. “Are you lost?” I asked again as I lifted my hand and took a step back. But perhaps he didn’t like it and took a step back grunting. I don’t think I want to upset him. He could squash me just by stepping on me with one leg. I stopped and lifted my hands up. And the horse stopped as well.
