Chapter 21 : Revelations

“You do know that we have to talk about this sooner or later," he said as we left the baggage claim area.

We had been in English air for less than ten minutes and Craig was already hounding me. After what had happened at my aunt's house, I had told both of them that I needed space. I needed to breathe and to figure a few things out in my head. But that had not stopped Craig from pressing me. He had me the entire plane ride back to the campus.

I had to put my headphones on to drown out his voice before he finally got the memo and now, here he was again.

I had not forgiven him in his role to play in all of this. He knew who I was and he didn't tell me. I knew that the blame was not on him alone. In fact, if I was being entirely honest, he had but a small spec of blame to bear. But somehow, my heart could not shake the betrayal.
