Chapter 48: The Locket

Evander’s POV

The moon casts a soft glow over Landon's garden, fine shadows and silver glow. And as I step on the grass beneath my bare feet, I fix my gaze on the celestial light suspended in the velvety night sky, the goddess's light, her radiance. A soft breeze rustles the leaves, and the scent of blooming flowers lingers in the air.

I take a seat on one of the garden chairs, crossing my legs beneath me.

“Enjoying the view, Evander?”
