Irina’s POV

I was taken at some point in the night. Barely awake when I was pulled from my bed. Gunnar apologises over and over again for doing this.

There was no point in trying to fight him. He was only following what the Alpha had told him, besides he was massive and I never stood a chance.

Gunnar refuses to let me walk, insisting that he needed to mask my scent which was only possible if he carried me. He was the first one to tell me this and I wondered if that was why Ivan had always carried me.

“Why is he doing this?”

“It is a century old tradition. You have just not been brought up around our traditions and now that you are here, Alpha Ketill will probably bring back many other traditions too.”
