Chapter Twenty-One

Alpha Kurt was already at the altar kneeling before the Supreme alpha, his father, and the cabinet members. It has been a tradition of our clan that when an alpha finds his mate the Cabinet and the leading Alpha Supreme shall bless them, after which a blood sacrifice is made to the moon goddess held by each blood of the elders and supreme Alpha, poured into an ancient moonflower and until the reflection of the moon is seen through the blood, the ceremony is not completed, and so the blood of the elders shall be used to ordain the next Alpha and his Luna.

Once the run is completed, the Alpha and his Luna must bathe together in the sacred lake, after which they must come together the night after under the moon and become one.

That was a story told to me by my father, According to him, this has been a ritual followed by our ancestors when an Alpha finds his Luna.
