Alicia's POV

"We've been attacked!" a battle cry rang out from behind, and suddenly, my face widened. I knew I was right.

"Save the Luna!" Ramirez's voice echoed. I wasn't afraid of death in any way. Yes, I loved my mate, no doubt. He encouraged me, but sometimes I still found myself pondering over what the werewolf goddess had said. These babies had always been causing me discomfort, but I dared not say it to Ramirez as I didn't want him to worry. Even on our way to the burial, I could feel like pushing the babies out, but they restricted themselves again. Hearing this battle cry from behind was like hearing my death sentence.

Astor ran towards my carriage and ordered the werewolf soldiers to let me down, which they did immediately.

"Listen to me, babe, take the horse and save yourself. The future of the pack is in your hands," Ramirez spoke as he kissed me hard when he realized I was going to stop him.
