Chapter Twenty

“What have I done?” someone repeats over and over again and it’s giving me a headache.

“Samara shut the fuck up.”

“Well, well, well, you’re finally awake.”

“Just let me sleep.”

The “What have I done?” keeps going. I roll onto my back in a huff. “Would it kill you to give me some peace?”

“It’s not me.”, “It’s our dumbass brother. He’s got himself in a bit of state.”

I blink up at the ceiling, “How long have I been out?”

“About twenty-nine hours.”

I sit up quickly and lean against the wall, “Rush must be frantic.”

“Landon will have informed him. We have bigger problems.”

“I know.” I roll my eyes. Oh, how I know…

“Aries thinks he lost his wolf.”

“Serves him right.” I pull my knees up to my chest and hug my legs.

“He hasn’t.”

“I hate when you do this. Were you speaking to his wolf?”

“Yep, Lox has purposely blocked him since he rejected their mate.”

“Wait…. Aries said his mate rejected him.”

“Nope. Lox said that their mate wanted to look after him.
