A Little too Strange

Once outside, I was at loss for what to do. It was pouring down heavily and I was getting soaked fast. Do I call mom and have her transfer some money to me to pay for a cab?

That sounded like a good idea. Anymore minute under the rain might make me sick and unable to return to work the next morning.

Not like Rowan would be in any position to get out of bed. His hangover might feel like hell.

That was his cup of tea. So much for worrying about someone, he didn't deserve my kindness.

I had to worry about me and how to get shelter from the rain.

I looked down at my phone, trying to turn it on, it didn't work. I tried again and again, nothing. Either the rain just killed it since it wasn't water resistant, or the battery finally died... I was screwed.

I looked around. Rowan's neighbourhood was deserted, not one single car was on the street. I was getting cold, pretty sure that I was going to be sick by morning.

I should have been more observant. I should have payed more attention
