Another day off as I was yet to receive a call from Rowan.

I wasn't complaining though, as long as I still had my job, that meant I would still get paid... It was a win-win.

And I was enjoying my 'break' from him. I mean, I got to kickback and relax with Sonia and Nia. We talked — mostly gossip — drank hot chocolate, and when Nia had to get back to work, Sonia and I explored town, visiting the arcade and having fun like teenagers.

By the time I got back, Mom had already closed the diner and we ate chicken mole in the living room while watching a show.
