Third Person’s POV
“Alpha, you have something urgent to know,” Tristan, the Nightshade’s Gamma, reported. Crashing the convocation of the state.
Counting a total of twenty-six generals and high-ranked military counselors, Tristan quickly kneeled down on one foot but didn’t take his sight off the Alpha. “A letter from the council, it’s about the Alpha of Shadowstone.”
His voice echoed all over the walls of the room, cracking the concentration and supposed meeting they have. The red headed man whom he called Alpha remained sitted on his chair with his forehead creased and his thumb on his chin, covering his lips.
“What’s new?” he asked.

Denise’s POV“You have no clothes for ladies?” I questioned Marco with one of my brows raised at him. He rolled his eyes and crossed both of his arms over. “I am the Alpha of this territory, how dare you to treat me like a maid,” he complained. “And why would I even keep women’s clothes, ha?” My shoulders shrugged. “So, you don’t? What if your mate comes over?” I teased and lightly shoved his arm. But to my surprise, his expression suddenly changed and he looked at me furiously.“Are you intentionally mocking me?” he blurted plainly.&nb
Those snitches!“I-I got to get out,” I mouthed almost inaudible as I walk towards the door.“No,” he said. So austere and emotionless, causing me to swallow air. I bit my lips as I lowered my head afore the locked door. My hands started to tremble and it seems like my voice turned away and that I do no longer know how to speak. He’s frightening.“I only knew one mistake I did to you. I know you loath me. But—" The way he talked. The way the ice between us formed…“—is it too much burden for you to carry even the only thing I ask from you?” &n
I let out a sassy smile when my paws stepped on grassy plains drizzled with water drops. The warm breeze blowing over my coat and the cinematic hues of the sky meeting the seas. A dark shade of tourmaline lowers to light blue as it collides with the lemon arrayed sunrise.Zaetron turned around and met my gaze. “Expect no formal welcome,” he blurted in my head.I simply nodded in reply. It took us a few hours to arrive here and as I let those time pass by, I can’t help myself but frown and shake my head multiple times realizing how dramatic I look doing that. it was like I lost have of my ego back there.I also don’t understand why I did that. Is it because of pity when I saw what he looked like at that time? He was deeply disappointed and there was a hint of pain in his
“I waited for a decade to be able to get out from the pack. And when I got the approval of the elders, the first thing I did was to find you.” He gently tugged my arm and led me to the cliff, parallel to the ocean. “Did we take hours messing around?” I furrowed to his question. Zaetron turned to face me and tilted his head, pointing in the direction where the sun is now rising. “You missed the sunrise.” I smiled at him and diverted my sight to the wide ocean afore me. “I can return here tomorrow. It’s not like the sea would leave its place.”&nbs
“Why? You want me to tell them who am I and then your enemy will pick me to be their hostage?” I uttered, raising my brow. But again, he chuckled. “You? A hostage?” I don’t want to admit but why does he look hotter than earlier? ‘Gosh, Denise! He’s just soaked in water, what’s the difference?’ I shook my head to that thought..“Stop staring at me.” But those abs, it’s perfectly packed. And the string of waters dripping on his broad shoulders, his messy drenched hair that now looks more of a black shade than red, that chiseled jaw he has, those sharp eyebrows that match his
“Again? Are you out of your mind, Cole?”“I’m not. Let me pass through, Marcus.”“Hey, hey, If that woman again diverts your attention, I swear I’m gonna be the one who’ll drive her away.”“Okay, listen. I was not the one who forced her to come with me. She pleaded to be with me.” There’s something in my head that goes irritated, causing me to pinch his skin below his arms with my eyes still close. I could’ve enjoyed my sleep if it weren’t because of these two people arguing noisily. If I’m not mistaken, I heard that voice
“I said I don’t have to. Everything’s fine, what are you worrying about?” I repeated when he again dragged me out of the room.“And there is nothing wrong getting you checked up. What are you worrying about?” he nagged, making me breathe in heavily and force a smile out.“Get out. You have a lot of work to do, why don’t you prioritize that first, huh?” His eyes narrowed looking at me. “Why have you changed so suddenly? You’re laughing and joking a while ago, then here you are glaring at me irritatedly.” My knees collapsed without any warning and streams of water started gushing out of my eyes.&nb
Three months later…“Do you have any updates from the frontier?” I asked the moment I opened the wooden door leading to the headquarters. But instead of an answer, a woman with her long red hair raised her head and gave out a contemptuous glare at me. “I have.”“What is it?” “Hmm,” she sneered and placed both her palm on the table afore her, forming a mocking vibe towards me. “You don’t have to know. Unless… you became the Luna.” I scowled at her and slapped the glass table between us. My lips automatically smirked arrogantly as I tilt
