CHAPTER 71: WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

I paced to and fro in front of my bed as Dr. Martin does some check up on Gigi. Maybe I am imagining it, but I keep hearing my heart making some weird sounds.

It’s almost as if some little drummers are inside drumming their drums, with every glance I take at Martin’s expression the sound increases.

Finally, Martin packed up his medicine kits and turn to me.

“How is she?” I ask anxiously.

“Thank God you arrived in time, she doesn’t seem to be in any danger now” he replies.

I sigh in relief. I tilt my head and saw her eyes are still closed, but her chest is moving and I know she’s breathing.

“Young boss, I don’t think she hanged herself” Martin said.

I furrow my eyebrows,“What do you mean?”

“According to my observation she was knocked out before she was hanged”

“Knocked out? By who?” I turned to Amanda.

“Amanda, did you see anyone come inside?”

She shakes her head.

“No. No one came in”
