Evelyn's POV
I'm hitting Oisin's back with my fists but it probably feels like light rain drops instead of a heavy handed punch. Of course the caveman put me over his shoulder.
We've gone through so many doors quickly but it isn't until I see the large black, iron, bolted, heavy looking door that it clicks.
He wants to fuck me in the dungeon?!
"Why not? It has the best handcuffs and we get out of the bedroom for a little while. Plus you can scream all you want, little lamb but it's sound proof." He smacks my ass before opening the door.
"Oisin not here!" I giggled as he finally allowed me down from over his shoulder.
"Yes here. Right here." He was so much taller than me but he positioned himself so that his legs were in between thighs. When he moved I could feel his hard cock rub against my sensitive clit.
He had me up ag
A hidden doorway. It could just be a closet, but by the rather unique look of the door, my best guess is that it holds secrets that Oisin would rather keep concealed.I should trust him. Maybe just ask him and he'll spill the tea on it.But if I let him know that I know, I may never get another chance at seeing where this leads. The metal shelves are stacked with bath salts, extra shampoos and conditioners, toilet paper, but mostly towels, which have been depleted. I quickly move everything off the shelving so I can move it out far enough for me to sneak by. I just need enough room to slip through the door.Seems like Oisin uses this door often because the selves are on wheels. I didn't notice them until it was time to pull the shelving from the wall. This makes my decision easier: I have to open the door now.The tiny brass rose doorknob turns easily in my hand. The only sound is the lock mov
Darkness. My eyelids feel like they are glued shut and weighted down. No matter how hard I try to fight it my body and mind are in agreement that I need a deep rest.It feels like my body is floating slowly in a warm air. I miss colors. I miss the sun, moon, and stars. The sound of the Atlantic ocean crashing against rocks and sand crashing and receding back into the water.I try to scream but my mouth feels sown shut.I don't hear a single sound.Whatever this is, it's not death. Death wouldn't be as scary as where I am right now. I don't know how I know, I just know.Is this what Sleeping Beauty felt like? That's when I see a pair of eyes glaring at me, clearly angry with me.Another splintering pain in my heart makes me want to scream but I can't.Some fates are wors
Oisin's POVYesterday I could barely breath but Fiona and I talked for hours. I told her the truth about Maggie, how I fell for her and thought she was my other half. Fiona knew the story for the most part: she knew that Maggie was beautiful, powerful, and cheated on me with Rian after I declined the title of King. He swears she was his soulmate and I swore she was mine.Fiona has been by my side the entire time and not once asked for Liam since I described the pull the Maggie and how it differs to the pull to Evelyn. I know she is now doubting her mate and it's my fault, but Fiona deserves her trueLeanan Sidhe*.Rian's witch is an old crone. She might have some link to the druids but she's a traditionally trained witch. No psychic abilities, just a lot of herbs, spells, and sage. The witch comes out of the bathroom, sage, eucalyptus, and dried flowers
Evelyn's POVI have no idea how long I've been here but the longer I stay trapped in this nightmare the weaker I feel. She is waiting for my will to fight to go; for my light of hope and life to dim. That's when she will take over my body. That's when I know that I will no longer be Evelyn, I'll be a host for Maggie."You are a child of the goddess Danu. Do you know what that means? You are part faerie. Your mother spoiled our great bloodline." I hear her laughing but all I see is darkness. "You can't fight forever half-breed."But that's where she's wrong. I've learned a lot while Maggie tortures me. Danu has made herself known to me. The moon goddess has shown me favor too. My maternal ancestors of druidesses have left me for dead. I assume they are on Maggie's side. I'm tainted. Not worthy of their power.
The bright full moon is high in the sky, almost as blinding as the sun to my sensitive eyes.I hear chanting and music playing. My body feels weak, tired, and very cold.Maggie.She must have won. The chill on my back is my sign that Danu, Selene, and I lost. Her frozen heart beat out my warm one."Come home fear shidhe, Hush my child, not a whisper pass your lips,Let your heart go dreaming of your lovers kiss.Deep in your heart the merriment grows,A sliver of silver now starts to show.Follow it to the river, see the stars above and the dew below.Bask in Selene's glow, your heart filled with wild joy,&n
Jacques is a genius. This gown is all about illusions. It gives an illusion of a neckline, golden detailed tattoos down the arm on such light fabric it's hard to see even when it's on me. The dress is detailed from head to toe with Swarovski crystal embellishments, especially on the bodice. They glitter like the rainbow whenever I move or the light hits me. The bodice is tight and the rest flows out. He used lilac purple and a rose gold to give it an umbrae effect. It's absolutely stunning.I love that he picked a shade of purple. I know it's a regal color and I look good in it. My fair skin makes the top of the dress and the sleeves look like I've been dressed in only golden shimmering embroidering pieces and crystals."Jacques, this is unbelievable. I can't thank you enough." Or praise him enough, which I can tell he very much likes even though he says to stop gushing over him."You
I stand behind a red heavy dropped silk curtain waiting to be announced. My parents just made their way out and from the noise level it sounds like everyone in Manhattan is here."Try to breathe miss." Violet fans me with a copy of the invitation. I'm sweating so much I might as well not have spent 6 hours getting my hair and make-up done."I can't do this Violet." My heart is pounding in my chest like a drum. I'm sure many supernatural beings already have located me before I've entered the ball."Miss? They called your name..." that's all I hear before Violet shoved me. So unlike her!A beautiful male faery escorts me out onto the platform where the makeshift thrones have been placed. They look identical to the ones in the throne room but this place is ma
Fiona's POVI refuse to leave while my brothers and my best friend are obviously in so much pain. The ball is gorgeous and my pull towards Liam is strong but I have to stay away.Maggie. What an old bitter crime?! She spells the room, our mate bonds, curses her own bloodline - who does that?!A self-centered psychopathic bitch. We've left the ball to head to our rooms but Oisin looks so devastated. I can't leave him alone right now."Liam, why don't you go ahead of us?" He had been a few steps behind us, keeping his distance since the day Oisin left him out of the conversation in his room. He grabs my waist and pulls me into him. His scent is as intoxicating as ever and his hands gripping onto me is strong; bringing back memories and a feeling of familiarity. "Liam, not now." He growls but let's go and nods.
