“Thanks.” Reiner said and nodded at Rai before he turned to leave after he got Rai’s word to send to him Shane’s location as soon as ‘she’ received it from ‘her cousin’.
Shane looked at Reiner’s departing back before he moved his gaze away. Reiner’s back looked like the back of a defeated champion. It looked so desolate, so despairing that the sight suffocated Shane to the point that he just wanted to tell Reiner everything. But, he can’t. And he can never. So now, he can only try to suppress his emotions so that it won’t drive him mad.
