Chapter 38: Ula proposed a divorce

"Why do you keep coming in and out of the room without knocking or asking for permission? It's very impolite," Ula expressed her displeasure with Ethan's disrespectful behavior.

"If I knocked or asked for permission, you would never allow me in. So, I apologize for my intrusive behavior, but I have no other choice," Ethan replied calmly.

"Why do you have to do this?" Ula angrily asked.

"Because I want to see you," Ethan answered matter-of-factly.

"I don't want to see your face," Ula replied defiantly.

"I know, but even if you don't want to and you're uncomfortable with my presence, I will still try to change your mind," Ethan declared with determination and certainty.

Realizing that Ethan had accurately grasped her thoughts, Ula fell silent and chose not to argue further.
