I re-read the message multiple times for it to sink into my head. Someone wanted to kill my Hames? Oh God.
Where on Earth was he?
I quickly called his phone.
He answered the call almost immediately. "Hello?" He sounded so tired.
"Where are you?" I scrunched my face in worry.
The sound of the door opening distracted me. "I'm right here." He said.
I ended the call and threw the phone to the bed, sprinted to him, pulled him in then locked the door.
"We have to leave immediately."

"What? Who the hell is this?" I exhaled in fear, trying to call the person again but it wasn't possible. My head started throbbing, my hands began to quiver, my heart left my body completely due to its excessive palpitation."H—Hames? Dead? Widow?" I huffed, shaking my head. "No way!" I bounced to my feet and ran out of the room while calling Hames' phone again, but it was still switched off.The thought that Hames was dead struck me so bad and tears immediately started rolling down my face really fast. I was going breathless and feeling like I was about to faint.I ran to Faith's room, banging my fists on the door really hard.In a
"Amanda?" He repeated."Yes. I'm sure she's behind this. I don't trust that crazy friend of yours." I nodded. "She's the only one I can suspect right now."Hames laughed. "You must be mistaken. I'm certain Amanda wouldn't do anything as stupid as this.""Oh, really?" I scoffed. "She's a devil in disguise. Didn't you see how she was smiling while you were around but the second you left, she revealed her demon to me, claiming to love you and I have to stay away."He ended his laughter. "Okay, I agree Amanda might be crazy sometimes but I know she can't be behind this.""How can you be certain?" I glowered, hating the stupid trust he had for
"Are you out of your mind?" I hollered."I should be asking you that. You're shirtless." He frowned and picked my shirt from the floor."I could've caught the devil. Shit!""Without a shirt? In the presence of our employees? You're crazy." He wore my shirt over my body.I sighed. "Sorry, I was only interested in catching her and forgot that another crazy person made me shirtless.""Another crazy person? Seriously?" He rolled his eyes, buttoning my shirt for me. I could do that on my own but what was the point in arguing?"We should get going."
"Who is Samantha?" I asked again, soaked in a pool of worry."I trusted you to not mention her name. Please leave." Hames drew his lips into a snarl."So you're sending me out of your house? Wow." Amamda snorted, glared at him from head to toe then angrily left the terrace."Hames, tell me who Samantha is right now." I ordered. He gazed at me, anger was still burning in his eyes. Without another word, he walked away and left the terrace, letting my mouth drop to the ground.I tried to let the fact that he was hiding a woman's identity sink into my head before leaving the terrace too.
"Hey, sweetheart." Hames' sweet voice drove me out of my slumber.I stretched my arm, yawning.Staring at a shirtless Hames and realizing I was still naked reminded me of last night and I couldn't help the blush that flushed my face."From that blush, I can tell what you're thinking." He sat on the bed, dropping the tray of food he had on it. "Breakfast in bed."I sat up straight, covering my chest with the duvet. "This is very sweet of you but I don't like eating without brushing my teeth and taking a bath first. You should've known that since you stalked me.""Oh… I guess I didn't stalk you enough then. How 'bout coffee?" He lifted a mu
My poor heart was throbbing really hard. I tried to scream or run but I couldn't seem to move. She quickly wrapped her hand around my wrist, the knife was smiling its sharpness at me like it was ready to slit my throat."Go upstairs and don't say a word." She whispered, glancing around and started pulling me towards the stairs.I was so scared to even attempt to run so I let her pull me all the way to my room.God, save me. I internally prayed. She shut the door behind her, sauntered to the bed and gently pushed me to it, shushing me again though I wasn't speaking.Gosh, how
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Hendrix. You're late for work, as always." Sarah teased.I rolled my eyes at her. "Good afternoon to you too, Sarah Louis. Has Hames left?""Now she has the right to call him by his name, she's late for work because she's his wife, she's being bossy.""And you're being silly.""I'm so sorry, Mrs. Hendrix. Please don't make your husband fire me, this job is everything I have." She pleaded jokingly.I shook my head and left her sight, using the elevator to transport me to the 68th floor then got into our office. As expected, Hames was on his office chair, gazing at h
~ IMOGEN ~ "Lunch is ready!" I dropped mine and Hames' tray of food on the dining table and went to where he was sitting on the couch, wrapping my arms around his neck from behind and kissed his cheek. "You're such a sweetheart. This side of you makes me feel like smiling forever." He held my hand and faced me. "You made lunch?" He asked like he just heard what I said. "Yes, yes, yes." "Wow, I'm so lucky. I love your cooking as much as I love you." "That doesn't make so much sense to me. You love something as much as you love your wife?" "Everything about you is loved by me." He kissed my chee
