Hayden waited for her to make that call. It was almost like he was daring her to, like he would change his chess moves if she called his brother. Knowing Jarrod, he’d probably take the next flight to the Bahamas just to interrupt his plans.

When she went to sit directly opposite him and not straight to her room, he was invested. It amused me, really, that she acted like he was the villain when he wasn’t. He also liked that his interest in her rose when she showed the tiniest bit of interest in him.

They stared at each other now, across the large pool that was inhabited by so many people. She looked good in her bikini—smelled fresh, even. He wanted to explore her delicate skin; the need rising every second she looked at him. She didn’t take her eyes away, which he commended.

He slowly lowered himself into the chair she’d been in minutes ago, making a sexy show out of it like he was trying to tell her what she was missing.
