CHAPTER 16

I took the note downstairs and Jackson was still in the office going through all the paperwork and working on the computer. He looked really busy and I didn't want to bother him, but I knew that he needed to know about this.

He must have sensed me there, and sensed my anxiety because he jumped up from his seat immediately and rushed over.

"What's wrong?" He asked. So I handed him the note.

"I just found it on our windowsill. He was on pack territory." I say. And I saw Jackson's eyes change color. They went a deep black which meant that his wolf was dangerously close to the edge.

He ordered all off duty warriors to meet him out the front of the packhouse immediately. And he walked out the front and waited for them. Claire and the kids were out there and that freaked me out. My children were outside playing while Carter was on pack territory. He could have taken them. So I tell Claire to take them inside and don't come out again. Find some fun activities for them to do inside. An
