It only took a few hours to pack up everything that we owned in the house. Which wasn’t surprising, we didn’t have a whole lot of stuff anyway. Mostly just our clothes and a few toys. It took a couple of hours for us to get to our new pack and we were in complete awe. The kids were so excited about everything that they saw while driving through the town. But it was nothing compared to how quiet they got when Jeremy pulled up outside the four-story packhouse. It was bigger than the one in our last pack. And this town was bigger. I could only imagine how many people lived here. I was also in complete shock and awe and Jeremy got out of the car and he came around and opened my door for me. He held my hand while I got out of the car and the others just barreled out like they didn’t have a care in the world. Soon, the front door of the packhouse opened and a stiff and staunch man walked out onto the veranda of the packhouse with a woman standing right behind him. “Father. This is my mate Cora. Luna Elsie wasn’t lying about having fun. We went to a friend of hers and we sat around the kitchen table drinking coffee and playing cards. Her friend was really cool and laid back as well. I could see that Luna Elsie only put that show on for her mate. She had to be hard and tough like him, but she was the complete opposite. She was warm and loving and she was really nice. When we left that house we did need to do some Luna duties, which was check on families who had lost loved ones in the war and she dealt with those people so elegantly. So delicately. When school let out that afternoon we went to meet my siblings at the gate of the school and they all ran over to hug me. Luckily we were only in the shelter for about an hour before we were let out and we went straight out the front of the packhouse and we saw the smoke was practically gone and the warriors were heading back to their loved ones. When I finally saw Jeremy he ran up and hugged me and I asked what the hell happened. “Someone started a fire on the eastern side of the pack. We don’t know who. But we know that it started on the outside of the border.” He says. “Who would do something like that?” I asked. “I don’t know. Maybe rogues or something like that.” He says. “There aren’t any rogues left since the war.” I say. “There are still a few. But they keep a low profile.” He says. “Why would they want to attack this pack?” I asked. “I don’t know. But for some reason, someone did.” He says. I think I might have scared Jeremy a bit after that because of what I said and I could feel him getting really anxious. Scared that I was going to leave him. So I saw him go to his father immediately and dragged him off to the side so that no one else could hear what they were talking about. I was inside watching through the window and they were getting into a pretty heated argument and drawing a lot of attention to themselves. She didn’t want everyone to see what was happening and I started feeling guilty about causing so much tension between father and son. I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to let Jeremy know that if my brothers and sisters had to leave then I would be leaving with them. I promised to take care of them and I am all they have in the world. As the men were slowly approaching the house I saw that a lot of them were wearing motorcycle gear. Like they belonged to motorcycle gangs and it looked like they were the ones running the show. I didn’t know why they had a grudge against us. We didn’t care what illegal activities they were up to, we just wanted to be left alone. I finally turned the corner of the packhouse, shifting while running, my clothes shredding everywhere. The men looked to the side at me and the three werewolves following me and they got a look of panic on their faces as they tried to turn around and point their guns at us. I jumped on the first guy that was closest to me and I grabbed his machine gun in my mouth. I ripped it from his hands and threw it away with my head. The gun disappeared into the woods. Hi everyone. I have recieved a lot of great feedback from this book and I am so so glad that you all really enjoyed reading it as much as I have enjoyed writing it. It took a lot of time and patients and I am glad that you loyal lovely people stuck with me through the whole thing.
