Third-Person's Point of View

Never in her wildest dreams did she expect to hear Lucas's voice ever again after their divorce. At that time, it felt like somebody had poured a bucket of ice-cold water right on her head. She could feel the strong coldness creeping from her head down to her toes. Her heartbeat changed, and it was pounding like there was a rumble.

Almost no words came out of her mouth because of the nervousness she was feeling at that time—more of a surprise mixed with anger that she was thinking of hurting the person on the other side of the line. Her chest started feeling heavy. Every breath increased the heaviness that later on felt like choking to death.
